How the association is governed
Board of Directors
The Board sets the association's direction and carries legal responsibility for it. Its members are drawn from different segments of Kerala's medical device industry so that manufacturing, diagnostics, implants, electronics and allied services are all represented in the room.
Directors serve fixed terms and meet through the year to approve the association's programme, budget and public positions.
Managing Committee
The Managing Committee turns the Board's direction into work. It oversees the association's programmes, member engagement and priority initiatives between Board meetings.
The committee draws on office bearers and member representatives with direct operating experience in regulation, quality, manufacturing and market development.
One corporate group, one vote
Related entities within a single corporate group hold one vote between them, so that no group holds disproportionate influence over association decisions.
Segment balance
Leadership is drawn from across device segments rather than concentrated in one, so association positions reflect the whole industry.
Declared interests
Office bearers and directors declare commercial interests relevant to any matter the association takes a position on.
Secretariat
The Secretariat is the association’s working office and the first point of contact for members, institutions and the media.

Governance principle
One corporate group, one vote
The voting principle is designed to support broad participation and prevent disproportionate influence by any one corporate group, giving early-stage ventures and established organisations a meaningful place within the association.
